i'm really surprised by Nikola Tosic reaction about my recent "performance".
http://tosic.com/benjamin-pothiers-vandalism/
who think i did it for my "5 minutes on TV" .... man, i'm far beyond. i don't even own a TV
No i'm not a Vandal (...) And my purpose wasn't "doing something aggressive which is clearly not appreciated"
Nikola, you think "it's a very bad example for others as well, especially younger ones."
Well maybe museum fees are too much expensive, and there isn't enough "younger ones" at the exhibitions
because they all are numb and mesmerized at home, playing 3D FPS game, facebook quizz,
or watching a crapy video on youtube like mine....
as Bob (Robert Rauschenberg) said: "I work in the gap between art and life."
well in 2010, working in the gap between art and life might mean to apply a sticker on Duchamp Frigo and , right,
being "proud of it" ... well i didn't destroyed anything. I have a great interest in Rauschenberg works that made me took
that train to go to the exhibition. And i didn't planned to apply those stickers.(i mean i didn't planned to apply them "there")
But well, after more than three hours, looking at those marvelous sculptures like a kid in a candy store... i had to PARTICIPATE myself. And yes i'm proud of it
and i'm still a big fan of that guy who did an "erased de kooning" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpCWh3IFtDQ)
And i do believe that "it's poetry"
but well, maybe i'm stupid
